In the previous post, I explained my position on Halloween. Now, I want to follow that up with the other side of the Halloween issue.
If you are actually doing something devilish on Halloween, it is what it is: something devilish.
If you are playing with the devil and doing something satanic, it is what it is: playing with the devil and doing something satanic.
If you are esteeming October 31 as a high unholy day of the enemy, it is what it is: you are esteeming October 31 as a high unholy day of the enemy.
For me, all I can say is: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).
And… that might involve a bag or two of candy!
In my opinion, October 31 is a very important and pivotal day. October 31 is the one and only day that keeps October 30 and November 1 separated!
Fighting Halloween is not my mission. It is certainly not the Great Commission. (See Matthew 28:18-20 for that.) It is absolutely not the First or Second Great Commandment. (See Matthew 22:36-40 for those.)
If you want to fight Halloween, good luck with that. Others have tried, failed, and wasted many a good hour that is irreplaceable.
Personally, I believe there are bigger fish to fry.
(To those involved in “anti everything” campaigns, please don’t fight fish fry’s. I’m begging you! Thank you for your support.)
